Aside from being totally sick of the raw weather, I was really hoping we’d seen the last of snow. And though we only got flurries, the effects of the snow proved to be more dangerous than many of us estimated.
I read this on WickedLocal this morning. A young Carver driver lost control of her car and smashed into a telephone pole Thursday morning. The driver reportedly lost control of her car due to the ice and slush on the road.
She was taken to Jordan Hospital in Plymouth to be treated for facial injuries. Police said she was wearing a seat belt and that the van’s airbags deployed.
So, despite taking the regular safety precaution of seatbelt and airbag, the driver was still injured in this crash. For tips on how to drive safely in these conditions, click here.
